Back in 1993, over 20 years ago now, at the height of the creator-owned comics, Dynamic published a 100-card set called The Creators Universe. In it were new characters created by some of the best and brightest of comics, like Howard Chaykin, Frank Miller, Jim Starlin, Barry Windsor-Smith, Dan Jurgens, Dan Brereton, Kevin Nowlan, Ray Lago, Brandon Peterson and a slew of others including some guy named Hughes. Adam Hughes actually had two cards in this set. One was All American Girl and the other a female character named Invertigo who appeared on card 36. From the card, which is her only appearance to my knowledge, Invertigo dies while battling her arch-foe, the Shadow Nemesis and somehow is reborn 11 years earlier as Gloria Mundi, so she can relive her life and prepare for a repeat of her battle. So, that is her short history. For all you Hughes Fans who can no longer get on a sketch list, or cant afford a Wonder Woman or Catwoman cover, here is what you have been looking for! An original Hughes you can actually afford! This is a fully rendered ink drawing that appeared as the back cover of the card and shows the backside of the character. Nicely drawn, with lots of detail. Signed and copyrighted by Hughes so all of you who will wonder if this is real or a fake will settle down since it was purchased directly from Hughes at the Charlotte HeroesCon decades ago. The original is drawn in ink and Conte crayon on an 11 x 17 piece of 2-ply Bristol. The figure, itself, is over 12 tall, so a decent-sized drawing. No big breasts, but a nice drawing none the less. As usual, Postage is not included in the price and I prefer not to take PayPal unless sent as a "Gift". Checks or Money Orders are preferred

$450.00 ***SOLD***
