BORIS VALLEJO Original published Art - DEJANIRA and HERCULES (Signed).....
Featuring an Original published piece of art by Boris Vallejo...With Hercules and his wife Dejanira (portrayed by Stacy Walker)..This image has appeared in books and trading cards.......Done in oils painting......Picutures are not doing this piece justice...piece is much nicer that the pics are showing...We also were able to find Stacy Walker who graciously allowed a picture with her, holding a piece that was done with her in it....Dejanira, the wife of Hercules, took a flask filled with the poisoned blood of Centaur Nessus and spread it in her husbands jeweled tunic due to his betrayal with other women. Her sudden deep regret would prove to come too late as the blood soaked Tunic killed Hercules. She returned to their bed with her husband's sword and plunged it into her own flesh. Painting Featured In: Ladies Retold Tales of Goddesses and Heroines 1992, and the new edition reissued in 1999.... Boris Vallejo All Prism Collector Cards 1993...and Boris Vallejo Best of Trading Cards, All Chromium 1995...
This item is in NEAR MINT condition (Brand-new), with very slight handling wear....
