Alex Ross Marvels Page Lands At Hake’s Amid Last Call For Consignments
In Hake’s Americana & Collectibles’ last two auctions, sales combined for over $4 million and the long-running auction house is now seeking consignments for their next auction.
Interest in original comic art continues to grow with Hake’s bidders and the auction house - now in their 51st year - has seen many record prices realized. These results have led to some impressive consignments for their upcoming Summer auction.
Earlier this week, an original Alex Ross page from the critically acclaimed Marvels #4 arrived at Hake’s HQ, featuring Marvels’ main character photographer Phil Sheldon looking over some of his many iconic shots of Marvel characters including Black Panther, Spider-Man, The Incredible Hulk as well as villains The Rhino, The Lizard, The Beetle and Sandman. The page also features a great Time magazine cover image with The Vision and Scarlet Witch.
The Ross art joins not one, but TWO Frank Frazetta paintings that were published as the covers to Warren’sBlazing Combat #2 (Jan. 1966) and #4 (July 1966).
Now is the time to act, as time is running out to get your items to Hake’s. Their deadline is quickly approaching.
