Akira battle tank action scene, multi-cel set-up, douga, and key laser background from the anime classic Written & Directed by Katsuhiro Otomo. Sequence painted by Yoshiji Kigami. Original production animation cel with douga Set-up#1626, cel#A18 Cel vinyl on clear 2 acrylic sheets over key laser printed background with pencil and colored pencil on paper douga 14 x 9.25 in. $850 Provenance: Streamline Pictures. When Akira first played theatrically in the United States, the releasing company, Streamline Pictures, ran a promotion that included a movie ticket and an animation cel. This promotion was also used for the original VHS release. Many of the best cels and some key set-ups were kept by employees at Streamline who later sold them to me in the 1990s. I have sold many of these over the years, and can attest to the rarity of these full, key multi-cel set-ups.

$850
