Rick Parker FOUR GAG CARTOONS Drawn On One Board, 1987

ARTWORK DETAILS:

Artist(s): Rick Parker, All
Media Type: Pen and Ink
Art Type: Other
Views: 0
Added to Site: 7/16/2017

Here’s a nifty piece! Its four Gag Cartoons by longtime cartoonist, RICK PARKER, all drawn on one sheet of illustration board. Each gag has a caption and takes up a quarter of the board or a little less. I have put individual scans of all four gag drawings in this listing so you can get a close look at each wonderfully wacky one!

Condition: Signed by the artist and dated 1987. Drawn in ink on illustration board. Original measures 20” x 15” and is in Very Good condition except for the following – there is a small light brown stain on the top left above the window washer’s head. There is a pinhole in each of the four corners and the bottom left one is slightly bent. There is also a slight amount of surface dirt on the board. All this is very minor, the piece is in great shape.
Rick Parker is the artist of the Papercutz Slices series of illustrated graphic novels parodying famous children’s books and movies, like Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Harry Potter, Twilight, Percy Jackson, The Hunger Games and The Walking Dead. In the past Rick drew MTV’s Beavis and Butt-Head Comic Book for Marvel and was the artist of The Introductory Pages of Tales From The Crypt featuring the Crypt Keeper, The Vault Keeper and The Old Witch. Rick also teaches drawing and comics creation in Maine.
