Doctor Strange, Sorcerer Supreme Vol 1 (1988) #19 page 26 - July 1990 Appearing in "The Azrael Touch" From the 1960s onwards, Gene Colan was a major producer for Marvel, working on numerous heroes in the publisher's stable. One of the titles that he contributed to frequently was Doctor Strange, making him one of the artists most closely associated with the Sorcerer Supreme. This half-splash page from the mystic hero features some strong images of Strange and some solid dialogue covering the major themes of the issue. Strange has long had a devoted collector following, but with a Doctor Strange movie from Marvel Studios now in production and scheduled for release in November, we only expect that legion of fans to grow. From his 1963 introduction in Strange Tales #110 to the present day, Doctor Strange has been Marvel's premier mystical character. When the Doctor Strange movie opens in just nine months, Doctor Strange will likely become as famous among the public as Iron Man, Captain America and Thor. Now is a great time to invest in work on this character by a beloved artist like Gene Colan. This art has an image area of approximately 10" x 15". Signed by Gene Colan.
