Gene Colan and Syd Shore's Daredevil #66 page 7 (Marvel, 1970). Daredevil battles Brother Brimstone in this awesome bronze age page. From the early Bronze Age era comes this Gene Colan Daredevil page featuring Daredevil keeping 'watch' on Karen. Gene Colan had a long association on Daredevil, always producing high quality material. He drew most of the issues in the late Silver Age and early Bronze Age and then returned for a mid-Bronze Age run that included the issue featuring this page. If there are two things they have in common besides their long association, Daredevil and Gene Colan both have strong reputations for long-term quality. In fact, if you look at Colan's early work for Marvel back in the Atlas era, you can see that his distinctive style was established early in his career and he never lost his talent over the course of more than four decades in working in the industry. Colan's landmark achievements included drawing the entire 70-issue Tomb of Dracula series, one of the best horror comics of its era. Similar to Colan, Daredevil has been a consistently good comic book for almost its entire 50+ year run and there are probably no other books you can say that about. Perhaps that's one of the reasons that Daredevil is one of the few Marvel Comics that has run non-stop going back to its start in 1964. Now with a hit show on Netflix that recently launched a very successful second season, Daredevil has a very bright future. This art has an image area of approximately 10" X 15"
